| Minor Coastal Flooding Today: Possible around the midday high tide (near 11:46 AM) for Charleston and coastal Colleton Counties due to gusty northeast winds. A Coastal Flood Advisory may be issued. The GA and southern SC coasts are not expected to see flooding. Rip Currents: A High Risk of rip currents is in effect for Georgia beaches today and Wednesday. South Carolina beaches face a Moderate Risk. The threat will decrease by Thursday as winds and seas subside. Not As Hot & Mostly Dry Mid-Week: A front is bringing slightly cooler, near-normal temperatures (mid to upper 80s) today through Thursday. Aside from a few showers and storms today (mostly in SE Georgia), expect dry conditions on Wednesday and Thursday. Above Normal Temps & Wetter Weekend: Temperatures will climb above normal starting Friday. Moisture pulling in from the Gulf will bring increasing rain chances, with scattered to numerous thunderstorms expected over the weekend. |
