An upper-level low over the eastern Gulf will aid in producing scattered to numerous mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the region today and Monday. A few storms may be strong with damaging winds and hail. Locally heavy rain will also be possible which may cause localized flooding of urban and flood prone areas.
