Over north central South Dakota, winds this morning will become northwest, with gusts increasing to around 35-40 mph. Similar conditions will develop across central and south central South Dakota this afternoon. The winds, along with dry fuels and low afternoon relative humidity, will increase the Grassland Fire Danger index to high to very high. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Jones, Lyman and Buffalo counties until 7 PM CDT this evening. Avoid outdoor burning and report any fires to local authorities.
